Greetings fellow battlers for freedom, truth, justice and the Alberta way:
Let’s celebrate life and the gift that it is during this Christmas and Hanukkah season. We need to be allowed to gather, to remember and celebrate with our loved ones. With only two weeks left in this challenging year, Premier Kenny is determined to punish us with this “time out” until the 10th of January and most likely longer. .
There is no reason to end this year “Locked Down and Isolated”. We can focus on those that need to be protected and as important, restore freedom of association to those that so desperately need it. The holiday season is often hard on many people who already feel isolated. This year more than ever we need to make an extra effort to reach out to those who are lonely. The holiday season is often a time when friends and family can get together.
Premier Kenney, do the right thing and put the needs of the many; their emotional, spiritual, physical and economic well being, ahead of the dictates of the “cover our backside officials”. Please allow Albertans to exercise their own good judgment and freedoms to gather together this holiday season from the 23rd of December to the 1st January 2021.
Premier Kenney please apologize to the people again and retract your words of pessimism and tell the people, “We know you are suffering from the blues so ‘be safe out there’ this Christmas season while you gather to visit family and friends, to spread good cheer and acts of kindness in your neighbourhood.”
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and compliments of the season.
May we promote peace on earth and good will to all.
Interim Leader, Wildrose Independence Party of Alberta
Please contact Premier Kenney and your MLA to persuade them to allow everyone who is healthy and so desires to get together this Christmas season.
Below is a form letter for you to send to Premier Kenney and the Alberta MLAs. Just fill out your name and location in the form below and it will auto fill-in the those items for you.
I, (replace with your name) of (replace with your city/town/county), urge you, Premier Kenney, to reopen Alberta from the 23rd December to 1st January. As you know Mr. Premier, many healthcare professionals have gone on record to declare (Great Barrington Declaration being one) that a lockdown will do more harm than the virus itself and will NOT stop the spread of this or any virus. There are other more effective ways to protect the vulnerable.
Mr. Premier, please open Alberta up to those of us who feel safe and are healthy, to enjoy this holiday season and to re-energize our souls after a very challenging nine months. As you know, this time of year is tough on many people even without a lockdown, but this year will be even more so.
I urge you to think about the thousands of people who will suffer from isolation, loneliness and depression, not to mention the immense economic stress placed on small business owners and the many people losing their job during this financially stressful time of year.
Again, Premier Kenney, we ask you to please put the needs of the many; their emotional, spiritual, physical and economic well being, ahead of the dictates of the “cover our backside officials”. Please allow Albertans to exercise their own good judgment and freedoms to gather together during this holiday season.
Have the courage to stand up to the naysayers and fear mongers.
It is the right thing to do and you know it.
Grateful in advanced,
